Just a few Unarmed black deaths.

Who are you trying to make aware?

You? You already know.

Me? I already know.

Black people, the ones who are getting killed? They already know.

White people, the ones doing the killing and watching the news, participating in the comfortable white privilege with only a very very very very very very few of them doing anything about it because it doesn’t concern their people? They already know.

The government, who some of were even found to be in the KKK, and participated in the Killings of Black Leaders? They already know.

So who? who are you trying to make aware? 

The people not hiring you because of your skin? They already know.
The people who kick your children out of schools because of their hair which their children then appropriate? They already know.

Protesting is for people who have no other choice. Or for people who need tell their government to pull itself together. You were brought here, to build their country, and freed as a war tactic. This country is not yours. This government is not yours. This system is not yours. Your own system that protects you needs to be built.

Marches, Protests and other forms of begging are for people who have no other choice. A people, that have a $1Trillion+ buying power? protests are not for them. In a country that isn’t theirs, and they only relatively receive 1-3 cents of that money in return circulating in their communities that other races run? Protests and marches are not for them

And we’ve all been aware for a very long time.

Power only respects power. When a cop wants to shoot you through internal hatred of your skin, what lets him pull the gun out and shoot you isn’t his hatred. His hatred simply makes him want to. It doesn’t let him. What lets him pull that gun out and shoot you, is that your people can’t won’t do anything about it. You have no power. He can pull over a black homeless man, and kill him. Protest. He can pull over a black billionaire and kill him. Protest. He can pull over a Black celebrity and kill him. Protest. He can pull over any black man in the system and kill them. Protest. He can pull over any black man, No matter How Rich, Wealthy, no matter how deep in the system the black man is, Individually having money won’t save you. What Lets a cop pull out that gun, when he sees you, is that Black people as a whole, collectively, do not have power. When he goes to court, he has a high chance of getting out with privileges/leaves with pay, he measures his options, and he deems it worth it.

But Uh oh, when you have power. When they know your money is being used as well to buy out politicians, when they know your money is circulating in the system in your favor. When they know that they can even be brought before an all white court, among the whitest of white courts that can be filled with a panel of KKK members, and even then they’d be found guilty, because the court may hate you, but there’s nothing that they can do without them being attacked financially to bankruptcy. When they know they don’t even need to hear any rioting outside, and can hear complete silence outside and still know they can be made to disappear without a trace. It’s almost like a super power. These white people play around with the law so easily, because not only are they not hated because their skin, even if they were hated right that moment for anything else, the first thing that Cop will think, is of the consequences. If I do anything to this white boy, what will happen to me. This white person is poor, but even then, his people is standing behind him, if I harm him, what will become of my life? You hear it through comedians and TV Shows: “If this white baby went missing, the news is all over that, but god forbid this black baby went missing lol!” They don’t hire you, fire you, because what are you going to do about it? Bring the NAACP? Lol ok, Like I won’t find another way to make his life harder, among the 100s of thousands of other black people who don’t even report being rejected for racial reasons they know and just go home hahahaa”, because, what are you going to do about it?

Our Anger and hatred don’t have to come in the form of recklessness and uselessness.
Anger and hatred can bring about change when organized, economically, financially.

People don’t like to hear the truth, because it disrupts their usual routines they’ve gotten used to, and don’t want to be told that they’ve been wasting their time. But the next time bullets rain on us, the next time you see one of us in the news, on your dash, on your screen, on your time line, know, that we could’ve done something about it. And we could do something about it now.

I don’t want them to stop shooting us because we had to get on our knees and beg for it. Because even then, it’ll still be open season, they’d just be choosing not to kill. We’d be under their mercy. They can lower their physical killing rates of you, but they don’t have to dress in all white or all blue to kill you and your people. There are other physical and mental ways of murdering your people at the same rates.

I want them to stop shooting us because we protected ourselves, stuck together, build communities to police ourselves, build our schools, build our families. Build ourselves up so we can personally with our own strength change the system.

That is why I am not for protests, but instead, for planning, organizing, and coming together to make the change ourselves using the time that is wasted on a protest to fund ourselves, use our money on ourselves, hire our families, build our own communities, businesses, protections  and securities, whether it be in the physical form or mental form. They already know they’re killing you. They already know they’re not hiring you. They already know they hate you. They already know they’re destroying your children and their history they don’t teach them. With power, they don’t have to like us. But they will respect us.

Who are we trying to make aware through protests? They already know.

I feel like this is so vague though…Don’t protest? Don’t speak out? Just “plan”? So the next time one of us is gunned down in the streets we just keep our mouths shut? Like we don’t deserve to utilize our free speech unless we rebuild Black Wall Street first?

That word “Deserve” just made me mad, I don’t know what it is but something about that word got me angry. “We don’t deserve to tell them for the 10000000000 time and keep repeating that they’re killing us, don’t we deserve to tell them?!” is all I heard. It’s like the word “Deserve” made “Free speech” some kind of secret weapon for Black people. Let me say something. White people have power under their system, so Protesting for Them Will Work. It’s them. They’re the system. Black People Been Protesting Forever, but what weapon is behind it?  When people who aren’t the system protest, it’s supposed to come with some kind of threat behind it since this isn’t our system. So what will Black people do? When you protest there’s something behind your talk that makes the oppressor say “Oh shit we better chill”, which they then, chill, and not just pretend to, to just go find other ways behind your back. What is that thing? What you gonna do? You keep talking, but what you gonna do?

Analogy: I’m a bully, And I beat you up every day after school. And each and every time, you tell me to “stop doing it”. And I do this every single day. You told the principal, he didn’t stop me, He’s my dad, I’m his little pumpkin. You told my mom. I switched my shit up and started bullying you other ways you couldn’t prove shit. You didn’t stop me. In fact I’m the teacher’s pet, straight As, kind student, very nice and polite. You got video footage of it and I got detention that one time, they gave it to me and said I was probably protecting myself and they just wanted to shut you up since you keep crying. I’m out to get you.  You’ve tried reasoning, talking to me. You didn’t stop me. You think, that the 46th time you saying stop is going to stop me? Yeah, you DESERVE and have every right to say something. Go ahead, say it. talk that talk. Keep DESERVING to tell me to stop. Cry to your parents, cry running down the hallway. Use that right. Tell them to stop me, you told them before, keep doing it. It’s fine with me, I’m watching from afar you keeping on repeating yourself. But come back tomorrow again, and we’ll continue our session where you gonna get that ass whoopin for the 48th time. Ima whip that ass again and you can continue all that “Stop stop” nonsense after the 49th time I whipped that ass too. In fact, ima beat up your little sister up too from now on. Keep telling me to stop. The teacher noticed but my dad head of the board of this private school, and the pay here is magnificent. My dad ain’t gonna punish me we already know, probably gonna buy me mcdonald’s after I get out of detention. and the teachers ain’t tryna lose their job, so my privilege is right here with me.

If I’m White Supremacy, and I know you ain’t gonna do shit if I shoot your brother up, and it’s my primary goal to kill you and your family and your history, If you say “Stop killing them!, and I say “Lol what are you gonna do about it?”.   There’s nothing wrong with protesting, if this government is for you. But a lot of people here, after 100+ years of protesting, think that the 1,000,001st death’s protest, is finally going to do it. Go protest. You have that right. I personally said it was a waste of time, but that shouldn’t stop you from protesting, this was not a post trying to tell you to stop protesting, this was a post saying you’re wasting your time doing it, now it’s up to you take it how you want to take it, and in this case you felt some type of way, which most people do. It means you can keep going it, but do something worth while as you waste your breath thinking you’re doing something important.

Your little sister with big puppy eyes, she’s only 6, says to you 
“Hey, big bro :(… maybe you should take some classes and protect us, even if you tell everyone.. they’re on his side :(….”,
and you tell her, 
“Oh woah woah woah, hey, ain’t that a little vague? you tellin me you want me to stop TELLING him to stop beating us up? I DESERVE TO VOICE MY HURT, KEEP MY MOUTH SHUT??!” 

You missed the point. She telling you, you’re wasting your time and ain’t nobody telling you to keep your mouth shut, just keep that mind busy at finding a way for us outa this cause ain’t nobody listening to you even if you keep doing all that talkin’. You can keep wasting your time talking, that’s fine, but find a way out of this shit. 

Let me put it to you another way, because people think that this “Black wall street” thing is ages away and we won’t make it in time so we need to protest”:

 If Black people came together economically tonight, right now, by tomorrow night we could crash a system in a way. That fast. and instantly start gaining said power, in a massive way, continuously. And getting out of the mindset of asking for it, and in the mindset of “Oh damn, we need to get this ourselves ain’t nobody listening”, is a very big step, if not, one of the biggest we’ve ever taken in this country. We just want the right to Beg the system, because, in a system where we have nothing, and begging is all we have, we’d be damned if someone told us it’s a waste of time, even if it is, we’d never believe it is, since it’s the only thing we have for comfort. Knowing we have that one weapon there, even though the weapon has no ammo. Free speech is fine, but free speech that doesn’t change anything, becomes dangerous when it becomes a habit that people think is changing anything. I’m here to say, you can keep protesting, but it’s a waste of time. Not once did I say “Don’t Protest”. I just said it was a waste of time. You can do it, but you’re blowing air. They already know. Killing you, keeping jobs from you, being racist against you, is something that laws could be passed against, but laws do not stop people  from coming up with new ways of killing you, keeping jobs from you, being racist against you and your children. It just makes racists and oppressors a little more quiet, and more silent about it, but way more sly about it too, and gives your people the illusion of a victory.

EVERYTHING IS SO CLEAR NOW. us black folk need to work together to make a change. we can completely dismantle this system and economy all together if we come together. I’m reblogging this everyday. this post is the most eye opening post i’ve ever read.

If we came together in masses to boycott, fund businesses, support our own, and build our own, we will be just as loud as a protest, and even louder as we’d get actual results that lift our people up in every sense, and we wouldn’t just get temporary cover up results by asking, we’d get results ourselves, with our own hands under our own protection to use whenever we want, however we want.. When we start, they’ll start giving us what we want because now they’d fear the uprising. when that happens, that’s not a time to stop and enjoy what they finally decided to give us for even a second, It just means it’s time to force even harder and completely get everything we ever wanted ourselves, and build our own.

Wealthy black ppl pool resources and buys several acres of land. Black developers subdivide said land and sells said land to black perspective home owners and business owners. A black community is born. Shop, supermarkets, private schools spring up. Black ppl are hired, ppl who commuted before now find jobs in their own community. Black manufacturing is encouraged and this supplies said community. Skilled artisans ply their trade n give back to their community by training young ppl. After school programs keep young ppl occupied. Counsel of elders keep the peace through mediation or use of security forces made up of community members. BLACK community members. What ever belongs to Cesar is rendered unto Cesar. Repeat every where. Take back your power, son and daughters of the very first civilization on this planet.

The beautiful part about everything you just said, is that it’s all smoothly down hill from a certain point (Besides of course White people trying to stop it in some way as we go along) if the Beginning is done correctly. The current Wealthy Black people will not pool their resources together to buy land. And we do not need to buy land in the beginning as well. Because land would be telling people to move to a new location where the normal things they enjoy aren’t found which I feel is unrealistic, and realistically people wouldn’t go. And it will kill a lot of vibes that could’ve been used.  I believe people are too integrated for that to happen, or too comfortable and will say “Others will do it while I watch…”. And those speeches have already been given many many times before, and if it were to happen it would’ve. So let’s not keep repeating the same method. I believe what the beginning should be like is: Teaching the current youth (us) to get into that mindset, and get them motivated to not just rely on school to create black businesses. Create funds for ourselves for free education. Create the black businesses, get a fund going so they grow, and get behind those black businesses, with people in that mindset to build those businesses, WE’D BE those people who own or work in these businesses so it’ll be donating to ourselves, literally. We then create those communities, But, without buying land yet, but instead, using the land we already occupy, like the normal Black occupied places, and ghettos, and the and our other forgotten places and start where Black people who are in need already are, where we live but don’t own anything, it’s possible to start stores and businesses there, and support those businesses while driving other businesses out of business through boycotts. agreeing with every single you said after that, but current Wealthy people have, and had already been told to pull those resources together by multiple leaders many many many times. They haven’t. And only once in a while one stands up to fund. We need to create them ourselves,  or we’re just talking to ourselves. The irony in that though, which is somewhat a beautiful thing at the same time, is that, We’re talking to ourselves. We can’t rely on the old wealthy anymore, it needs to be us, the youth, who need to be recreated in mindset. Or it’ll be us in the future waiting for our kids to fight to give their kids what we wanted for them, as they repeat the same things we lied to ourselves that we would do, and it going in a circle over and over and over again. It needs to be realistic at the beginning, for the rest to work.

She used to live on a farm with her family where they produced and sold their own, so when shit hit the fan, it didn’t affect them because they had both the means and the resources to protect themselves. So now I understand the OP’s point.

Even when if/when we do win, the wins are temporary, and to keep you quiet. The only time we’ll ever win, is when we win with our own hands. This anger can be used properly. Or we’ll always be asking them. If we get a win a certain section, they don’t need Slavery to kill us, they don’t need man made diseases to kill us. they don’t need All white to kill us. They don’t need All Blue to kill us. There are other methods, other colors, and other clothes, as long as they have the will, you’ll have the illusion of winning. It’s time to come together for action, and produce everlasting-with-our-own-hands-in-our-own-control-results. I’m telling you again, let’s change our mindset, we’ve been doing this for too long. Reblog this to reach as many of our Black people as possible, please. And I’ll say it again.

How many more years of examples do you want. it won’t only be police examples either if they happen to fix that up a bit. But how many more instances of different situation examples do you want. It’s not a win unless you take it yourself, and control the outcomes like they do, yourself.

if i was my uneducated ignorant little 14 year old self y’all would have ripped me a new one and probably scarred me for life

and that’s so scary tbh, that a community of adults would and DO witch hunt and harass minors over things they’re being children about

How to gently acknowledge and inform a person:

Check their blog/content/about me. How old is this person? If they are still in HS/under 18, remember that this person is a minor and needs guidance, not chastising.

Second, look at a little bit of their tumblr. Are they going through serious mental health struggles(Depression/suicide/etc)? Please take this into account when formulating your response.

Finally, evaluate why you follow this person to begin with. Now, if you are 19 and following a 17 year old, then you are within the same age bracket and can talk to this person as if you are talking to a peer. 12/13/14/15 year olds are still formulating their opinions of the world, and you being nasty to them isn’t going to help inform their opinion. So why do you follow a 13 year old? Would you hang out with this person IRL if you two were in the same location? Would it be weird(mentally and physically) for you to hang out with this person? If the answer is yes, unfollow their blog and step away from the situation.

NOW, here is how you formulate a PRIVATE ASK OR FAN MAIL to someone who has said or done something problematic. Shaming them publicly for ignorance/limited world view is a great way to close someone off or harass them, and you don’t want to do either of these things. Online bullying can take on many forms, and being an adult harassing a young teenager adds to online culture problems

“Hey! I noticed that you reblogged (x). I wanted to let you know that this is really hurtful to (x) group, and it is offensive because of (x) reason. I just wanted to let you know because you may not have known. Thank you for receiving this message and listening”

This points out what is wrong, why it is wrong, and does not demand anything of the person you are sending this message to

And then you step away. Do not send this person 20 asks. Do not threaten them. STEP AWAY.

If they engage, respond, or ask further questions, answer them kindly. If they don’t respond, don’t continue to engage.

REMEMBER: you were 14 once too. You said and did things that you cringe at now. You said and did things that were problematic. Getting yelled at was not what you needed. You grew up, you learned, you changed. Let others do the same.

This is important.

Please give this a dedicated read. There are so many people on tumblr who won’t hesitate to absolutely destroy someone vulnerable (see: harassment, bullying, death threats, etc) and it makes me sick. Have some damn humility, ESPECIALLY for minors you are supposed to set an example for. They need your protection, not your vitriol.
